Since 1987, ELTEK International Laboratories [ELTEK Labs] has worked to earn and maintain the reputation of being the worldwide experts in the testing of electrical insulating materials [EIM] and electrical insulating systems [EIS], covering areas of testing from base performance properties to long-term life performance to compatibility in a wide range of environments.
ELTEK Labs’ customer base includes companies large and small, domestic and international. From companies manufacturing individual materials to complex large machinery, ELTEK Labs interacts with our customers to help our customers acquire the data needed to make technically sound decisions.

ELTEK Labs complies with ISO/IEC 17025 as the foundation of our Quality Management System and laboratory operations.
Capabilities
ELTEK Labs’ facility is located in Saint Charles, Missouri, USA. Centrally located in the USA, our laboratory is reachable worldwide – only 12 minutes from Saint Louis Lambert International Airport.
Our facility consists of seven linked laboratories to provide a single-source service:
- Short-term performance testing to evaluate materials as received
- Long-term aging to evaluate expected thermal life
- Compatibility of individual materials and EIS
- Thermal life of EIS for all applications
- Special projects, for non-standardized projects
- Fabrication lab, for special apparatus needed for individual projects
- Calibration verification, for internal use only, in compliance with our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
Our collaborative approach to project development – as well as our decades of experience – make ELTEK International Laboratories the only electrical insulation testing lab you need.
Our test programs are developed starting with nationally or internationally recognized standards, many of which we have participated in the development process. With the diversity of the electrical industry, we also offer customized projects developed to achieve our customers’ needs.
For Projects Requiring Certification
Not all projects require submittal to a certifying body [CB]; however, when needed, ELTEK Labs is proud to be a Third Party Testing Laboratory for internationally recognized Certifying Bodies. ELTEK Labs runs programs for companies large and small. ELTEK can handle the technical/testing part of our customers’ needs as well as the administrative duties specific to the certification process with certification bodies around the world.
Participation on Technical Committees
ELTEK Labs continues to be an active participating member on technical committees to stay abreast of developing new requirements for safety and performance in our rapidly changing world market.
